Challenge Difficulty Level

The 1st JCR Endurance Challenge is designed to test the limits of both rider and machine over a demanding 1000-kilometer course to be completed within 24-hours. This event will take participants through varying terrains, including mountainous areas, coastal roads, and urban settings across Negros Oriental and Negros Occidental.

Difficulty Rating: High

  1. Terrain: Participants will navigate a mix of asphalt, potentially gravel paths, and varying elevations.
  2. Weather Conditions: Be prepared for changing weather conditions, including rain, which can make the roads slippery and visibility poor.
  3. Endurance: Riders must be prepared for long hours on the road, requiring physical stamina and mental focus.

Preparation Tips:

  1. Ensure adequate physical conditioning and motorcycle maintenance.
  2. Familiarize yourself with the route and plan for regular rest and refueling stops.
  3. Practice riding in various weather conditions.

Rules and Regulations

General Conduct:

  1. Riders must adhere to all traffic laws and regulations throughout the challenge.
  2. Aggressive riding, racing, or any form of reckless behavior is strictly prohibited.
  3. All participants are expected to display sportsmanship and respect towards fellow riders and the public.

Safety Gear:

  1. Helmets (DOT approved or equivalent) are mandatory.
  2. Reflective vests or clothing must be worn at all times.
  3. Eye protection and gloves are required.

Riding Protocol:

  1. Use of headlights during the day is mandatory for increased visibility.
  2. Riders must follow the designated route; deviating from the marked course will result in disqualification.
  3. Checkpoints must be visited in the sequence specified; failure to check in at all checkpoints will disqualify the participant.

Rider and Motorcycle Requirements

Rider Eligibility:

  1. Must possess a valid motorcycle driving license.
  2. Health certification may be required to ensure fitness for participation.
  3. Riders must be over the age of 18 to be able to register.

Motorcycle Specifications:

  1. Motorcycles of 150cc and above are eligible to participate.
  2. The motorcycle must be roadworthy, with all lights, brakes, and horns in working order.
  3. Modifications are allowed but must not compromise the safety of the rider or integrity of the event.

Documentation:

  1. Registration documents for the motorcycle.
  2. Emergency contact information must be provided at the time of registration.

We’re excited to offer a special group discount for participants of the JCR Endurance Challenge! Gather your riding buddies and take advantage of this exclusive offer to experience one of the most thrilling endurance rides in the Negros Island Region together.

Discount Offer: For groups of 10 people or more, each member can register for the event at a discounted rate of PHP 2,500 per person, a saving from the standard registration fee of PHP 3,000.

Eligibility and Conditions:

  1. Group Size: The discount applies only to groups registering 10 or more participants.
  2. Simultaneous Registration: All group members must register together on the same day. Group registration must be completed in one transaction to qualify for the discount.
  3. Payment: Full payment for the entire group must be made in one lump sum. Individual payments will not qualify for the group discount rate.
  4. Deadline: This special offer is available until March 31, 2024, only. Make sure to register your group before this date to take advantage of the discount.
  5. Group Leader: Each group must designate one person as the group leader. The group leader will be responsible for coordinating the registration process and payment on behalf of the group. The group leader will email us at info@endurancechallenge.ph or text/call +63 926 762 1250 to avail of the discount.
  6. No Refunds: Please note that the group discount registration is non-refundable. Ensure that all group members are committed to participating before completing the registration.

NOTE: Payments are non-refundable. Once we receive payment, we immediately have your Rider Kits made. For those who will not be able to join but has already paid, we can ship your Rider’s Kit to you at a very minimal fee.

Negros Island Loop

  1. Start: Dumaguete City – The adventure begins in the vibrant capital of Negros Oriental, known for its bustling Rizal Boulevard and the serene Silliman University campus.
  2. Siaton – Heading south from Dumaguete, riders will experience scenic coastal roads before reaching Siaton, known for its beautiful beaches and natural attractions.
  3. Bayawan City – Continuing south, the route to Bayawan City offers lush landscapes and agricultural vistas. Bayawan is recognized for its clean and green environment.
  4. Sipalay City – Known for its stunning beaches and diving spots, Sipalay City is a gem on the southwest coast of Negros Island.
  5. Cauayan – A short ride from Sipalay, Cauayan offers serene beaches and the gateway to Danjugan Island, a marine reserve and sanctuary.
  6. Kabankalan City – Heading north, participants will pass through Kabankalan City, the gateway to southern Negros Occidental, known for its vibrant festivals and cultural heritage.
  7. Bacolod City – The capital of Negros Occidental, Bacolod is famous for its MassKara Festival, delicious chicken inasal, and historical landmarks.
  8. Cadiz City – Continuing northward, Cadiz City is known for its vast sugarcane fields and as a thriving fishing port.
  9. Sagay City – Known for the Sagay Marine Reserve, this city offers beautiful seascapes and coral reefs.
  10. Escalante City – Riders will experience the northern charm of Negros Occidental, with its rich history and cultural sites.
  11. BSB via Barangay Bug-ang – Transitioning through rural landscapes, this segment offers a glimpse into the agricultural heartland of Negros.
  12. San Carlos City – As a major economic hub in the north, San Carlos City bridges the gap between Negros Occidental and Oriental with its vibrant community and natural attractions.
  13. Barangay Bagawinis to Canlaon City – Heading back into Negros Oriental, Canlaon City is home to the majestic Mount Kanlaon, the highest peak in the Central Visayas.
  14. La Castellana – Known for its natural springs and waterfalls, La Castellana is a refreshing stop in the Negros Occidental hinterlands.
  15. Isabela – A quaint municipality with rich agricultural lands and friendly locals.
  16. Guihulngan City – Heading east towards the coast, Guihulngan City offers coastal views and a gateway to the northern part of Negros Oriental.
  17. Ayungon – A peaceful municipality known for its beaches and agricultural lands.
  18. Mabinay via Barangay Tambo – Famous for its caves, Mabinay is a spelunker’s paradise nestled in the heart of Negros Oriental.
  19. Dauis via Barangay Paniabonan back to Bayawan City – The route loops back to Bayawan City, showcasing the diverse landscapes of Negros Oriental.
  20. Santa Catalina to Pamplona/Cafe Alicia – Riders will enjoy the winding roads and cooler climates of the interior towns, with a stop at Cafe Alicia for breathtaking views.
  21. Tanjay City – Known for its Sinulog sa Tanjay Festival and delicious delicacies, Tanjay City is a cultural hotspot.
  22. Finish: Dumaguete City – The journey concludes back in Dumaguete City, where riders can celebrate their accomplishments along the city’s renowned boulevard.

HOW TO JOIN THE CHALLENGE

The 1st ever JRC Endurance Challenge will not only test your mettle, but it will be a battle of attrition; the ultimate test of skill and endurance for motorbike enthusiasts. Discover the thrill of pushing both rider and machine to their limits.

For participants entering a 1st JCR Endurance Challenge, the journey from registration to the start line involves a series of steps designed to ensure you’re fully prepared and informed for the event. Follow the process below:

1. Online Registration

Research and Decide

  1. Understand the Event: Review all available information about the route, the challenge’s difficulty, rules, and requirements to ensure it aligns with your skill level and interests.
  2. Check the Requirements: Ensure your motorcycle meets the event specifications and that you have the necessary gear and documents (e.g., license, insurance).

Register

  1. Complete the Registration Form: Fill in all required fields accurately, including personal information, motorcycle details, and emergency contacts.
  2. Submit Payment: Pay the registration fee as instructed, usually through a secure online payment system.
  3. Confirmation: Once registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email with further details. Keep this for your records.

2. Pre-Event Preparation

  1. Safety Gear: Confirm you have all required safety gear, such as helmets, gloves, and appropriate clothing.
  2. Motorcycle Inspection: Have your motorcycle inspected and serviced. Ensure it’s in top condition for the long ride.

Attend Pre-Event Briefings

  2. Study the Route: Familiarize yourself with the route, checkpoints, and rest areas. Plan your strategy for fuel stops and breaks.

  1. Arrive Early: On the day before the event or the morning of, arrive at the designated starting point in Dumaguete City for check-in.
  2. Document Verification: Present your registration confirmation, motorcycle registration, and any required documents for verification.
  3. Technical Inspection: Submit your motorcycle for a technical inspection to ensure compliance with event safety standards.

4. Day of the Event

Starting Line

  1. Attend the Starting Ceremony: Be present for any opening remarks, final briefings, and to soak in the pre-ride atmosphere.
  2. Line Up: Position yourself and your motorcycle at the starting line as instructed by the event organizers.

During the Ride

  1. Ride Safely: Follow all event rules and regulations, respect speed limits, and ride safely, keeping in mind the endurance aspect of the challenge.
  2. Checkpoints: Stop at designated checkpoints to mark your progress. Use these stops to rest and refuel as necessary.

Post-Ride

  1. Cross the Finish Line: Complete the ride back in Dumaguete City, where the event concludes.
  2. Celebrate: Participate in any post-ride ceremonies, collect your finisher’s certificate or medal, and enjoy the camaraderie with fellow riders.

Grand Raffle Mechanics for the Post-Ride Event of the 1st JRC Endurance Challenge

As we culminate the 1st JRC Endurance Challenge, we’re excited to announce the Grand Raffle Draw, an exclusive opportunity for our participants to win amazing prizes in recognition of their hard work and dedication. Please carefully read the mechanics below to ensure eligibility and understand the process of the raffle draw.

Eligibility and Participation

  • Registered Participants: Only individuals who have officially registered for the 1st JRC Endurance Challenge are eligible to participate in the Grand Raffle Draw.
  • Completion of the Challenge: Eligibility for the raffle is contingent upon successfully finishing the challenge. Only participants who complete the entire course and check in at all designated checkpoints will be included in the raffle draw.

Raffle Draw Process

  • Presence at the Draw: Winners must be present at the time of the raffle draw. When a winning name is called, the participant will have 2 minutes to come on stage to claim their prize.
  • Verification: The participant must present their Event ID for verification. No stand-ins or representatives are allowed. This is to ensure fairness and integrity in the prize distribution process.
  • Claiming the Prize: Winners will be given instructions by the event committee on when and how to claim their prize following the event. It is crucial to follow these instructions to ensure a smooth prize collection process.
